Delightful! is a weekly roundup of all the recent moments — big and small — that made me happy. A reminder to myself more than anything to “Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.”


1. A week of rainfall in LA means I got to spend most days here, reading, writing, and working to this rarified backdrop

2. A mid Monday lunch with a friend — salads always taste better when they’re made for you

3. This organic archway spotted on a walk

4. Pressing my first batch of flowers with the homemade press my dad made me! I forgot to take a more aesthetically pleasing photo before tightening the bolts oops

5. A midweek movie date to see Send Help, complete with a bucket of popcorn and contraband cookie

6. These gorgeous restaurant lantern lights at a friend’s birthday dinner

7. A second movie date (solo this time) to see Wuthering Heights — I’m doubling down on this part of my vision board!!

8. A new bodega-like market and deli opened up in our neighborhood recently, and the sandwich station finally debuted this past weekend. I am beyond ecstatic to have a no frills, quality sando stop within walking distance now.

9. Our cat, Daisy, cuddling in my lap for the first time — she’s taking her time to warm up, so every incremental move towards affection just sends me right over the moon
